Just a quick blog to say I have another article published on the Amazon myths. It is published with a newcomer to the magazine market, myHistory Digest, and they have done a brilliant job (at least I think so).
The article is titled “The Origins of the Amazons: Myth vs History” and is perhaps the closest thing I have written to a feminist stance on historiography. But, if you read some of the papers from the turn of the 20th century that I had to, you would be hard pushed to take a differing stance!
Right, back to work on an article about the Hellenistic general Philopoemen, another one about the military career of Socrates, oh and the book!
